My favorite page on IMDB: Back to the Future: Goofs
They list 91 of them. Among my favorite:
Factual errors: The JVC camcorder requires constant pressure to operate the rewind feature, not just a single push and release.
Continuity: When Marty is skateboarding and stumbles upon two pedestrians, the lighting changes from sunny to shaded. Most noticeable on the boardwalk. They were clearly filming at a different time of day.
I would personally like to add the following one:
Factual Error: If one nullified one’s own existence via time travel, one would vanish, not simply fade away slowly. In particular, there’s no logical reason that a set of siblings would fade away in chronological order.
A New Twist In Product Placement
Several large corporations around the country spend millions of dollars to buy naming rights to arenas and stadiums. The logic is, with every mention of the WidgetCo Arena, more and more people are aware of the WidgetCo brand and associate with it positively.
During the Philadelphia Eagles game this weekend a guy whose late mother was a big fan ran onto the field and scattered her ashes. He was promptly arrested, but was unrepentant:
“I know that the last handful of ashes I had are laying on the field, and will never be taken away. She’ll always be part of Lincoln Financial Field and of the Eagles.”
“No, it’s not a bad dream. It’s TV!”
-Voice Over on Entertainment Tonight clone, “The Insider” in reference to something involving Kathy Lee Gifford
The teenage couple from Pennsylvania that was on the run (after the boy killed the girl’s parents) apparently had blogs. In her blog, Kara Beth Borden indicated that her interests included: “JESUS!!,” “church,” “my youth group,” and “hugging.”
i wonder what “rainbows” did to get bumped off the list.
UPDATE: Here is the link to her blog. Apparently another interest of hers was abusing the use of exclamation points!!!!!!!!
The Transportation Bond Act was passed today. I stand to personally benefit from this; But here’s hoping we see the Second Avenue Subway before 2020.
Family Guy is funnier than The Simpsons.
There, I said it. You heard me.
The opening sequence of tonight’s episode was funnier than any Simpsons opening sequence ever. Particularly when Stewie big-wheeled into Doom 1 and ran over an Imp. Later in the episode, we learn that the FCC is being run by Cobra Commander.
